Cora Schumacher: "This name still makes me money"

Cora Schumacher denies the theory of an arranged marriage with Ralf Schumacher.
A guest on the "Hey Olli!" podcast, Cora Schumacher took the opportunity to re-establish the truth about a painful aspect of her private life. The ex-wife of former Formula 1 star Ralf Schumacher firmly denied persistent rumors that her union with the German driver was sealed in a ten-year arranged contract. A pact that, according to rumors, earned her a significant sum of money. "I would be rich if that were true," she quipped. "I wouldn't have wasted my life for money."

Married in 2001, Cora and Ralf Schumacher divorced after thirteen years together and the birth of a son, David. But the story resurfaced in the summer of 2024, when Ralf came out as gay. He formalized his relationship with Frenchman Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne.
It was a painful episode for the wife, a moment that rekindled tensions. "In the paddock, there were a lot of rumors," she recalled. "I always asked him for explanations, but he always denied it." Once confronted with the truth, Cora burned her wedding dress and accused her ex-husband of having "stolen her best years."

In an interview this week with German media outlet Bild , she reiterated that the accusations of a sham marriage had deeply hurt her. Still in therapy, Cora Schumacher, however, accepts the fact that she is keeping her ex-husband's name, not without candor, even with a hint of provocation: "I would be stupid to abandon him as long as he makes me money."
And what about her relationship with her ex-husband today? "He's still blocked from my phone," says the former model, now 48.
